Skyfonts good7/29/2023 ![]() the error doesn't appear, but it will NOT place or display the photo. And now I can't even add a photo to the canvas when I open a new file with a blank canvas. Very strange! aI have been using Affinity Designer and Photo for so long without ANY issues. ![]() Very quickly, both Affinity apps are now not allowing me to add photos or open files. The same error appears as when I try to open a file. I have checked the Sharing & Permissions on each of the files and they're all set to "Read & Write." I still experience the issue.Īlso, this all started when I was working on a project and dragged a 1702x790 1.2MB file onto the canvas. Then check the Sharing & Permissions section to make sure your user account name is listed followed by "(Me)" & your privileges are set to "Read & Write." If not, the file may be on another drive or in another user account. In the General section of the info window that opens, make sure "Where:" shows a 'local' file path beginning with the name of your startup drive (usually "Macintosh HD") followed by "Users" & your user name. The document must now be closed.įrom Finder, right-click on the file & choose "Get Info" from the popup choices. When I went to save, this happened: "Failed to save document" Save failed because access to the file was lost. I returned to my main profile and started working on a new Designer file. I created an additional profile on my 2017 Macbook Pro (i7 16GB ram) and opened Affinity Designer and Photo with no issues (Actually loaded a lot faster in that account) and was able to do what I needed to do with no issues. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled from the App store with the latest version. I have ensured Sharing & Permissions is set to "Read & Write" for all files I have done First Aid to the disk since there is no longer "Repair Permissions" MacBook Pro 2017 i7, 16GB of ram with lots of free disk space Is this still a thing on High Sierra?Ībout my computer/set up/troubleshooting so far: Keep in mind that once you install a font on your device using Skyfonts, you will be able to use that font with all your installed applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel or any other graphics-related application. I saw on this thread in the Affinity Forum that I may need to disable a number of fonts? But I am not sure how to do that using SkyFonts - or the best way to do this in general. Is there anyone here who has solved this issue and knows how to fix? In SkyFonts, I have a couple hundred (can't tell an exact number, but it's not 1,000) To my knowledge, these fonts don't appear in FontBook the same way "regular fonts" usually do. However, in the past several months, I have accumulated more fonts using the Monotype Library Subscription, which loads fonts thru Sky Fonts. I have been using Affinity Designer for about a year without any issues. "Failed to save document" Save failed because access to the file was lost. Failed to open file The file could not be opened because permission was denied.Ģ. ![]() I can not edit files or start new ones without some sort of failure.ġ. Here are the 2 errors I am getting in both Affinity Photo & Designer. Hello! I need help with 2 issues, which I think may be related to Apple's sandboxing and issue with having lots of fonts using SkyFonts?
